Wembley College leadership announcement

Wembley College welcomes William Silk and his family. Silk will be joining the school next year to head up the high school.

Wembley College this week announced its new leadership team for 2022.

The Greytown school announced that Lizet van der Walt has been appointed executive head. She will also retain her responsibility as head of the senior primary phase. Van der Walt has been acting executive head for the interim period and has now been appointed with immediate effect. She holds a BA (English), BEd, PGCE, and a BCom LLB degree. During her teaching career, she has gained extensive experience in the pre-primary, junior primary, senior primary and high school phases at various schools.

William Silk has been appointed as deputy head of Wembley College, head of high school and head of boarding. William is currently senior master of co-curricular at Michaelhouse, ensuring that all art, drama, cultural ensembles, clubs and societies are active and run to a high standard. The co-curricular activities at Wembley College will be his focus.

Julie Goble has been appointed head of pre-primary and junior primary phases from 2022. The pre-primary and junior primary phases will be integrated into a Wembley Junior School.
