Welile making waves in modelling world

Fourteen-year-old Welile Nzuza has the looks and the passion to succeed and has reached the finals of the Miss Teen Universe SA 2021.

A grade 8 pupils at Thornhill Christian College in Pietermaritzburg, Welile hails from Howick in the KZN Midlands.

According to her family, Welile has a passion for modelling and is the reigning Miss Dolphin Coast 2020 and was crowned Miss Eco Tourism World SA in December 2019. Earlier that year, she was also crowned second princess in Miss Pre-Teen KwaZulu-Natal.

Other than dreams of the international fashion runway and a modelling career, Welile has her eyes set on a career in medicine.

Her mom Virginia Duma says Welile has a love for children and dreams of opening a play centre one day, which will help keep kids off the streets and promote a healthy lifestyle and positive minds.

She lives by the motto: “Create the highest, grandest vision possible for your life, because you become what you believe.”

The crowning gala dinner for Miss Teen Universe SA 2021 is due to take place at Coastlands Hotel Musgrave in Durban in February. The event will be held over two days, observing strict Covid -19 restrictions. Tickets are limited as per the regulations.
