Treverton Prep welcomes new Headmaster

Mr John Huggett has been appointed as the Treverton Preparatory Headmaster

It is our privilege to inform you that Mr John Huggett has been appointed as the Treverton Preparatory Headmaster with effect from January 2017.
John is an experienced educator with a passion for the pastoral care of children and a love for the outdoors. He is a committed Christian with a firm belief in the principle of stewardship and values-based education. John’s personal interests include climbing, hiking, camping, trout fishing and photography. John is married to Sue and they have two girls, Megan (10) and Joselyn (8).
John’s experience in the independent school sector includes four years at St Peter’s Preparatory in Johannesburg and five years as Deputy Headmaster at Cordwalles Preparatory in Pietermaritzburg. Since January 2015, he has been the Deputy Headmaster at Grayston Preparatory in Sandton.
We believe that John’s experience, personal attributes and leadership style will bring about a new and exciting season for Treverton Prep.

Congratulations to the Treverton Matric class of 2016 (51 candidates) that achieved a 100% pass rate. Of particular significance is an outstanding historic achievement of a 100% Bachelor Degree (university entrance) pass rate. (The IEB national BD pass rate was 87.6%).
Some of the top individual performers were:
Emma George – 4 A’s; Benjamin Stiller –2 A’s; Farai Mlambo 3 A’s; And Estcourt local Kyle Spence – 3 A’s.
The 2016 Matrics have done themselves and Treverton proud and we wish each one of them everything of the best as they pursue their dreams.
