Rewards for Midlands company
Midmar Crushers was recently awarded the ASAPA’s (Aggregate and Sand Producers Association of SA) “About Face Top Independent Performer Award for Environmental”, and ISHE’s (Initiating Safety, Health and Education) “Top Independent Performer Award for Health and Safety 2017”. These awards have been received by the company for four years.

Midmar Crushers is an independently run open cast quarry in the Midlands producing dolerite stone mainly for infrastructure development such as roads. The About Face Award for Environmental recognises that the company maintains outstanding environmental business practices and acknowledges the measures used to control and minimise environmental impact.
The ISHE Award acknowledges the importance Midmar Crushers places on health and safety for its employees and their working environment. In a press release the company says that it carries out stringent controls and checks to ensure the highest level is maintained in its daily work.
Regional Mine Manager of Midmar Crushers, Bronwyn Moore, received the ISHE award from auditor Marius Van Deventer and the About Face Environmental award from environmental auditor Colleen Cluett.
In a statement Midmar Group said it was extremely proud of this achievement. It thanked the company’s employees for their work ethic and dedication.
