Mr Les Willow’s challenged The Wykeham Collegiate family to raise R10 000.00 for DUCT (Duzi-uMngeni Conservation Trust). As an incentive, the TWC Lady Principal, Ms Sue Tasker, agreed to paddle with Les in a K2 at the Dash and Crash canoe race held on Saturday 28 January 2017. The target was reached, and as a result Sue Tasker joined Les Willows as they successfully negotiated all the race obstacles including the Ernie Pearce weir and the Commercial Road weir. The funds will be put to good use by DUCT who look after the environmental health of the uMsunduzi and uMngeni Rivers.
