Notties clean-up, September 12

It’s spring! Time to emerge from hibernation and get ready to embrace long summer days in the beautiful KZN Midlands. And do a bit of spring cleaning.

With this in mind, Nottingham Road Refreshed is holding a Spring Clean-Up Day on Saturday, September 12. It will mostly involve picking up litter in the village and on verges.

The community, though positive, feels it has been battered by recent events – the Covid-19 pandemic and a devastating fire at the Sthendeni informal settlement chief among them.

The village, say the organisers, “needs a good spring clean and we know that this initiative will help encourage community spirit and involvement – already the response from the locals has been amazing, with many businesses and individuals offering help”.

“We hope this will be the start of a rejuvenation for Nottingham Road.”
