New Hanover Prep swimming Gala

Early in February New Hanover Prep. hosted their annual inter house swimming gala, a highlight for the NHP children and their families
Due to the depth of swimmers in our Grade 1 class this year, three new events were included in the gala and the respective records were set for the first time: U7 girls’ breaststroke – Amy van Breda, U7 boys’ breaststroke – Angus Kyle and the Rietbok team set the record for the mixed U7 freestyle relay. In addition to this a number of records were broken, namely: U11 girls’ breaststroke – Georgie Kyle, U10 girls’ freestyle – Taylor Trethewey, Open girls’ backstroke – Bianca Hillermann and the mixed U10 freestyle relay record was broken by the Rietbok team
The following children were recipients of awards: Style Cup: Bianca Hillermann. Most improved swimmers: Luke Whittle, Ethan Adams and Siya Masuku. Junior Victor Ludorum: Daniel Uys. Junior Victrix Ludorum: Taylor Trethewey and Georgie Kyle. Senior Victor Ludorum: Liam Freese. Senior Victrix Ludorum: Bianca Hillermann..

New Hanover Prep Gr 3’s enjoy Ushaka outing

With so much to offer from the mysteries of the ocean to the thrill of Wet ‘n Wild, the Grade Threes from New Hanover Prep enjoyed their annual visit to UShaka Marine World. They explored the underground viewing galleries extending through the ship wreck, which are home to 300 species of marine life and 10 000 sea creatures amongst other exciting activities.


New Hanover Prep Valentines Tea

New Hanover Pre- Primary hosted a Valentines Tea for parents and loved ones on Wednesday 14th February. The children sang songs about love and then enjoyed a number of different activities together. The highlight for them of course, was showing their loved ones around their exciting playground!
