Pupils from Laddsworth Primary in Hilton have been excelling in various sporting disciplines. They achieved in regional events and were selected for regional teams.

Umgungundlovu District Cricket Selection
Two Laddsworth Grade 6 pupils were selected for the Umgungundlovu District Under 12 Cricket team. They took part in the KwaZulu-Natal Inland Trials, at St Charles College from September 21-23. Pictured above: Ryan McKean, left and Colin Robertson.

KZN Junior Championship Gala
Laddsworth pupils took part in the KwaZulu-Natal Junior Championship Gala from September 21-23 at King’s Park Pool in Durban.

Georgina Francis (Grade 6) took part in numerous races and achieved personal best times in all her events.

Patrick Lamb (Grade 5), reached 4 finals and achieved personal best times in all his events.

Thomas Truter (Grade 7) earned silver medals for the 50m breaststroke and 100m breaststroke.

Nicholas Kruger (Grade 6): Gold medal for 200m freestyle; silver medal for 100m freestyle; Silver medal for 50m butterfly; silver medal for 100m breaststroke; silver medal for 50m freestyle; bronze medal for 50m breaststroke

KZN Rhythmic Gymnastics Selection
Laddsworth Grade 5 pupils, Imogen Kirby and Crystal Viljoen, took part in the KwaZulu-Natal Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships in Durban last month.

Imogen achieved a gold medal for Level 5 and Crystal achieved a Silver medal for Level 9. They were both selected to represent KwaZulu-Natal at the National Championship in Johannesburg this month.

KZN Pony Showing Championships
Grade 2 pupil, Reece Gordon-Watson, competed in the KwaZulu-Natal Showing Championships at Buffelsbosch Equestrian Estate in the Midlands last month.

Reece rode his pony Buckingham Strawberry and achieved a first place for First Ridden Utility Pony, a second place for Lead Rein Pony, and two third places for In Hand show Hunter Pony and In Hand Show Pony.
