Laddsworth B Team excels at Northern Park Inter-Schools Athletics

The Laddsworth B Athletics Team did extremely well at the Northern Park Inter-Schools Meeting on Saturday, 02 September in Pietermaritzburg.
Irie-Mae Bailey broke the Under 8 – 50m record.

Laddsworth pupils excel at SPUR MTB

Recently, Laddsworth Grade 5 pupils, Omar Wilson, Jonothan Werth and Ross Stainthorpe took part in the (XCO) Spur MTB Schools Race, hosted by Girls High School in Pietermaritzburg. They all competed in the Sprogs (U12) race, in which they had to complete 5 laps of about 2km each. Omar won the race in a time of 22 minutes and 35 seconds.

Laddsworth Primary School’s Annual Grade 7 play was once again a huge success, under the guidance of Mrs Di Smythe. which was adapted by Mrs Smythe from the story ‘Alice in Wonderland’ was very entertaining and witty. Well done to Mrs Smythe, the Grade 7 Staff and Grade 7 pupils for a very successful production of ‘’.

Athletics at Pelham Classic

The Laddsworth A Athletics Team participated at the Pelham Classic Inter-Schools Meeting on Saturday, 02 September 2017. A few members of the team did extremely well: Jodi Moreno broke the Under 10 – 1200m record ; Ellen Oosthuizen equaled the record for the Under 10 – High Jump; Nothile Zondi came first in Under 11 Shot Put; Leah Stewart came first in the Under 11 1200m.
Well done to the team on their fine efforts.


Midlands Cricket Selection

Luke van Niekerk, a Grade 7 pupil at Laddsworth Primary School, has been selected to represent the Midlands Under 13 Cricket Team. We wish him well for the Inland Festival, which will be held in Pietermaritzburg over the 22nd, 23rd and 24th of September 2017.
