Howick ‘Green Week Challenge’

Town embarks on clean-up and beautification initiative

The organisation Love Howick is initiating a “Green Week Challenge” to take place in the town from November 15-19. It is inviting concerned and involved citizens to take part and do their bit for the good of the town.

Love Howick said: “If you would like to get involved in some way, all you need to do is pick an area to clean up in Howick, some time during the week, measure what you did (number of bags of litter collected, area cleaned up, etc), submit your stats and photos of the clean-up and you could stand a chance to win a Love Howick hamper and coverage in the Village Talk newspaper.”

They’d also like to send a videographer and photographer along to document your clean-up “so please wear your branding; as we will be publishing the videos and photos on our social media platforms”.

“We are challenging businesses, schools, churches, NGOs and other organisations to do their bit.”
