HARTS arts society meeting

The next HARTS (Howick Arts Society) meeting is set to take place at 2pm in the Anglican Church Hall in Harvard Street, Howick, on Monday, April 6, 2020.

A reminder for members that annual subscriptions are due and those who have not yet paid are reminded to bring along R150 so that their names are not removed from the mailing list. Visitors and new members are always welcome at HARTS meetings.

Elbe van Rooyen is to be the guest speaker at the April meeting and she will also be conducting the workshop which will only be on April 20 because of the Easter weekend.

Voting for the Asselberg Cup takes place at every meeting to ascertain who the winner will be at the end of each year.

On Tuesday afternoons, art classes will be held at the Anglican Church Hall starting at 2pm. As in the past, a HARTS member will assist artists. There is no charge and anyone may attend. (Don’t forget protection for the tables)

The next meeting of the Tree Art Group will be announced at the meeting. The group is hoping to hold an exhibition of their interesting arboreal studies later in the year.

MOPS (Midlands Outdoor Painters and Sketchers) meets on the last Monday afternoon of each month. A get together at the old railway station in Hilton produced some lovely work and was a great venue.
