Drakensberg Boys Choir gets festive

December concerts

The Drakensberg Boys Choir is ending 2020 on a high, with its series of performances, “A Festive Celebration” (previously known as Christmas in the Berg).

The festival runs from December 1-6, and features the following: concert at Treverton College (December 1, 7pm); the last Wednesday concert of the year (December 2 at DBCS, 3.30pm); Talent Showcase (December 3, 7pm); DBC – In Concert (December 4, 3pm); John Ellis in Concert (December 4, 7pm); and “The Hills are alive with the sound of laughter”, featuring Aaron McIlroy and Lisa Bobbert (December 5, 7pm).

The last two shows featuring the Drakensberg Boys Choir on the Saturday afternoon, and Sunday morning are already sold out. This festival also marks the end of an era for the choir’s current artistic director, Bernard Kruger.
