Celumusa Mthimkhulu was crowned Overall Africa Champion in the Musclemania Africa natural bodybuilding competition held in Gauteng this weekend.

Hailing from Scottville, Pietermaritzburg, Celumusa works as an intern at Cedara College.

Musclemania is described as the world’s leader in “natural fitness competitions” and on Saturday night at the Joburg Theatre complex it crowned the PMB athlete its Africa Overall champion.

Twenty-nine-year-old Celumusa hails from a humble background in Nkandla and now resides in Scottsville. Training under his own team banner of MSFitnessIsland, out of Scottville Planet Fitness, he is a humble, yet hard-working proponent of drug free sport and natural fitness training.

Weighing in at 83kg, he started by winning his category and then went on to the Overall showdown between the winners of each category. After a flawless routine, to his favourite maskandi music, Celumusa had the crowd on their feet. He confidently took on the posing routines to fight through to be crowned the champion.
