Treverton College has nine choristers who are members of the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands Youth Choir. Every week they are committed to rehearsals in Pietermaritzburg, leaving Mooi River in the afternoon and getting back late at night after a couple of hours of intense rehearsing. They have to learn a repertoire of very demanding choral works, sung in a variety of languages. This takes a lot of dedication but in the end the musical growth that happens and the friendships that are made with choristers from other schools, makes this all worth the effort. The choir travelled to Pretoria  to take part in a Youth Choir Festival where they received a standing ovation. In June the KZN Midlands Youth Choir will be travelling to Wales to take part in the World Choir Games. Treverton are proud of their talented choristers.
