It was their second weekend back at school and Treverton’s Equestrians had an intense three-day programme of skills learning and a competition, which had most young riders back in the saddle.

On the Friday afternoon, Treverton Equestrians had the opportunity to attend a clinic with Heidi Woods and Douglas Welsh South Africa representatives on the Eventing team to the World Equestrian Games. On Friday evening, their inspirational talk resulted in a large number of riders taking part in the clinic event on the Saturday.
Competitive riders were up early and travelling north on Sunday morning, to take part in the first of the Midlands Newcastle Sure Travel Arena eventing series.

There were approximately 70-entries, and the Treverton riders achieved good results and top places.
Pony Rider 60 1st Taia Jurgens on Pirate, Pony Rider 70 1st Anna-Rose George on Rosie.  Juniors 70 1st Emily Yeo on Kush, 2nd Rachael Guthrie on Illiad.  Pony Rider 80: Grace George on Pumpkin Power.  Juniors 80 3rd Jessica George on Pohland Whichingham.  Junior 90 1st Samantha Schallen on Fortune Time.
Prep and College riders took part in the event.
