Treverton Athletics Champions
Treverton College athletes competed in the KZN Athletics Championships in Durban recentlyand literally brought home fists full of medals.
Ayanda Tshuma achieved a Gold for Triple jump u17, and a Bronze 400m hurdles, Shane Coetzee won a Gold for u19 discus and a 4th position in shotput and javelin. Bophelo Seoe won two silver medals for 100 m (she is 2nd to the number 2 sprinter in South Africa) and long jump u15. Eugh Nyakabau won a Gold for long jump, a Silver for triple jump and a Bronze for high jump. Kylee Mcloughlin, one of the school’s top athletes achieved two gold medals for Triple jump and 100 m hurdles respectively and a Silver for long jump.
Veteran Treverton Athletics’ coach Rianne Botha also brought home a medal from the event, not for competing but in recognition of her long-serving devotion and dedication to the sport.
