Support your local Mrs SA Finalist

Mrs SA is about real women, married women with busy schedules who can still find time to care for others. Mrs SA provides a lovely platform to empower women.

On the 12th of April 2014, I, Melissa Vurovecz was selected as a finalist for Mrs South Africa along with twenty-three other ladies. I am happily married, living in Hilton and am twenty-four years of age. A motto that I try and live my life by is ‘nothing ventured, nothing gained.’ Growing up as a bit of a farm-girl as the daughter of Roland Kennard, bee farmer and current owner of Peel’s Honey, I have always appreciated the outdoors. The gorgeous Midlands area that surrounds us compliments my lively, energetic, and vivacious spirit. My husband and I enjoy mountain-biking in the Sappi forests, playing tennis at our local club and escaping the hustle and bustle of everyday life for an outdoor adventure.

Carene Breytenbach living in Howick Amber Ridge who is a title carrier (internationally and nationally) scouted me for the Mrs South Africa Pageant. She is mentoring me and coaching me for this pageant. She is a driving force in helping me achieve my dream. If you need any beauty or pageantry advice she is your ‘ go to’ lady.

Recently I was privileged enough to have Caroline Soar, a local talented photographer under Caroline Soar Photography do a finalist shoot for me. One of her gorgeous photographs is attached to this article.

I need the support of my community. There is a voting line you can SMS ‘MELISSA VUROVECZ’ to 35959, SMS’s cost R3 per SMS. You can vote as many times as you like. For those of you who are active on social media, please go to the Mrs South Africa Facebook page and ‘LIKE’ my finalist photograph.
