Sugar Rush Classic a success
The second annual Sugar Rush Classic was held on Sunday 6th April, 2014. With a very good turnout and the weather playing its part this year a great day was had by all.
The field was just over 450 in the two categories (40kms & 20kms) and was populated by some of KZN’s top riders with some riders from up country and out of the province who came down to enjoy the warm and friendly North Coast hospitality.
The course, constructed by Russell White was both “testing and rewarding” with a great balance between single track cut through the beautiful indigenous forests, and jeep track that ran through the green cane fields. The new 20km trail was highly rated and gave enough of a challenge for the experienced but made it a “pleasant” outing for the social riders.
There was also a kiddies race for the young ones and a pump track competition to test both the young and old. The vibe was a happy family orientated one at this new and every improving venue.
