Youth Day at St Johns DSG Junior School

Youth Day at St Johns

Youth Day at St Johns

To celebrate Youth Day, 16 June, the whole Junior School assembled for a Youth2Youth (Y2Y) activity morning. The Y2Y activities were designed and led by the Grade 6s and 7s as part of a leadership programme and included games and activities suitable for the wide range of age groups. All the girls were placed in ‘Family Cell Groups’, which included girls from Grades RR all the way up to Grade 7, with the older girls helping and encouraging the younger girls. The Y2Y activity morning ties in to the school’s ethos of caring deeply about family, friendship and the people around us, as well as building meaningful relationships.
