Epworth Paddlers make their mark
Epworth paddlers made their mark at the South African Canoe Marathon Championships recently at Camps Drift. Grade 10 pupils, Caitlin Mackenzie and Amy Peckett, earned spots on the national team in the U18 category. Only two spots in each age division were up for grabs. Caitlin came second in the K1 event and together with Amy, they clinched second spot in the K2 race. Both of these girls are still in the U16 age group. They will represent South Africa at the 2017 World Canoe Marathon Championships which will be hosted by Natal Canoe Club at Camps Drift in September.
