Rosetta holds its first Country Market

The first Rosetta Country Market was held at the end of October alongside the unique Village Dam.

The market has been established to provide an outlet for local crafters and micro farmers and, of course, it also provides an opportunity to build a better and more integrated community. The facilities consist of 9 permanent stalls, which will be expanded as demand grows.

Great products were on sale, including delicious pancakes, breakfasts, boerwors rolls, Thai spring rolls and frozen foods, fresh coffee, gourmet Greek cheeses and handmade Nougat, jams and preserves, Esposito cured meats, Viking sausages and biltong, local grown fresh vegetables, lamb products, fresh farm milk, home baked cakes and breads, artwork, handmade pate, and hand crafted soaps and hand creams. The local garden centre sold a selection of plants whilst the SPCA and Conservancy raised funds for their respective charities.

The event was well supported by our local and surrounding communities, and all stall holders, without exception, gave the event a big thumbs up. The next markets are scheduled for the 29th November and 13th December.
