PMB transformed into a hub of Fashion

PMB transformed into a hub of Fashion @ the weekend as The School of Fashion celebrated 49years with their Fashion show – “A Glamorous Affair”.

52 Designer Students graduated and showcased their stunning collections on the catwalk. Amazing talent was so well received by the Fashionistas and celeb fashion VIPs that they added 5 awards and Fashion week awarded to more designers with amazing opportunities to further their studies.
The hall was packed to capacity with the audience dressed in style.

The well known School of Fashion had many high profile fashionistas attending including ,Sincengile Ntshingila – managing director of KZN Fashion Council.Zola shabangu – Fashion council.
Lethabo Maseko – Department of Economic Development and Tourism
Greg Wallis AFI – African Fashion International, fast track programme and many more.

Collections on show ranged from retro street wear , bridal ,couture , Haute Couture , Avant Garde,suits, proudly South African Ranges and as part of the School of Fashions ” Save the planet Initiative”- an exciting range using recycled material. 1st place in this catergory went to Nonsikelelo Ninela
For the year end accolades –
The re-cycled section was won by:
3rd place – designer: Siphesihle Mthembu – Model – Jordyn Venter, and Nadien Naidoo
2nd place – designer: Brian Siyabonga Myeni – Model – Slindile Madlala, and Nadien Naidoo
1st place – designer: Nonsikelelo Ninela – Model – Kaitlyn Stark, Nadien Naidoo

It was a night filled with Glitz and glamour but what stood out was the sparkling talent of the students of the School of Fashion Design.
The Director of the college Priscilla Bhika was very proud of the students who have continuously put PMB on the fashion map, by winning numerous fashion competitions by showcasing their talents and producing quality garments which are of international level.

Next year The School of Fashion Design will celebrate 50years …. And so the preparations for another brilliant show begins….
