The School of Fashion Design, Pietermaritzburg held it’s annual Fashion Show at the end of November and in its inimitable style, blew its stylish guests away with the standard of Designs showcased. Pietermaritzburg City Hall shone brightly for “The Power of Fashion” Showcase. The VIP guests, Honourable Councillors, Fashionistas, International guests, stunning models, highly competent production team, and the talented students of the School of Fashion Design with their exquisite creations made a massive impact on the fashion fraternity. It was home grown talent at its best, produced to international standards.

We are so proud of the hard work of the students, and the Staff of the School of Fashion Design who take deep, personal care to ensure the success of each and every student. The School of Fashion Design is a 52-year old realisation of a dream by the phenomenal local entrepreneur and philanthropist Priscilla Bhika. Showcasing 78 designers and 389 garments, it was a spectacular event with 70 designers competing for the prestigious title of designer of the year 2017.
