Old Mutual joBerg2c spectators can get close to the action with the inaugural drOp’ngo2c Supporters Tour
As the route development funder of the Old Mutual joBerg2c, N3 Toll Concession (N3TC) has added to the offering of this nine-day staged Mountain Bike event the inaugural drOp’ngo2c Supporters Tour in partnership with the N3 Gateway Tourism Association (another project funded by N3TC).
This self-drive tour includes some of the tastes, sights and sounds that make for a special tourism route.
The N3TC drOp’ngo2C Supporters Tour will take its own route, catching up with the cyclists at dedicated spectator points. The Old Mutual joBerg2c starts at Karan Beef in Heidelberg on Friday, 25 April and will finish on the beach at Scottburgh on Saturday, 3 May.
“We hope to give those supporting cyclists participating in the joBerg2c race the best possible experience with this tour. Every effort has been made to include key vantage points for the supporters to see their cyclists while on the route, coupled with interesting tourism stops and activities along the way. Making it an experience to remember for the supporters too, who very often feel left out as the cyclists really get to see the best South African views on offer,” explains Andy Visser, marketing manager, of N3TC.
All tourist destinations, restaurants and tours that make up the Supporters Tour have been selected from members of N3 Gateway member associations. Supporters will no doubt have a unique opportunity to experience South Africa from a different perspective on this inaugural tour.
