New Hanover Prep makes a splash!

New Hanover Prep Swimmers
In addition to health benefits, children swimming competitively at NHP, learn the importance of perseverance, sportsmanship, self-discipline and goal setting. By increasing their endurance and developing their stamina, they also become better athletes.

The highlight of the swimming season, the annual inter-house gala, was a well-supported, exciting event! The winning house, Rietbok, was also awarded the spirit cup! Senior Victor Ludorum and Victrix Ludorum went to Christopher van der Merwe and Nicola Torlage respectively. Ryan Dobeyn and Mia Schoeman took the Junior Victor and Victrix Ludorum trophies.

Nicola Torlage was the proud winner of the prestigious award of the Style cup! This cup is awarded to a child who has trained hard to develop their swimming style in all major strokes. Records were broken by Mia Schoeman for U11 Butterfly and U11 freestyle and Nicola Torlage for Open girls 100m freestyle.
