New Hanover Prep celebrates World Book Day

Reading can do many things. It educates, amazes, entertains, thrills and stimulates. It can transport you to different worlds, to places you could never have dreamed. It can let you see from perspectives you might otherwise not understand. It’s magical that way.

The teachers at New Hanover Prep got into the spirit of World Book Day, dressing up and enacting the famous story of Snow White and the Seven Dwarves.

Endless are the benefits and as World Book Day came around, our focus turned to children and their celebration of the written word. Kids and teachers at New Hanover Prep dressed in their favourite literary characters; Harry Potter, The Cat in the Hat, Robin Hood and many other characters gleefully filled classrooms.

New Hanover Prep Market Day

Market Day at New Hanover Prep aims to recognize and foster entrepreneurship in children. It encourages free-thinking and helps the children to believe in their own ideas and abilities. This year was, once again, a great success with about thirty diverse stalls selling a variety of quality goods as well as providing fun activities and entertainment.
