Lions River Club Rider to represent South Africa
Jayme Tegg who is just 13 years old and grew up playing polocrosse at Lions River Club has been chosen for the South African Equestrian Mounted Games team to compete in the 5 Nations Mounted Games to be held in New Zealand in November 2014. Growing up in a horsey family, Jayme has spent her holidays leading trail rides in Bushman’s Nek, riding free-style (no bridle or saddle) and jumping obstacles on her trusty pony Trinity and competing in mounted games competitions.
Jayme has got phenomenal riding skills and verve, is ambitious and driven and all of this has paid off as she was only one of two youngsters chosen from KZN to compete in this international event. The youngest on the South African team she will be competing on strange horses against teams from Australia, New Zealand, the United States of America and Canada.
