Lest we Forget

Bringing in the wider community of Howick and in fellowship with the M.O.T.H.s an Armistice Day Service of Remembrance was held at St Luke’s Anglican Churchon Sunday 10th November. The service included the reading of very moving poetry written by soldiers during the war, a most thought provoking address by Revd Don Thompson, and rousing hymns led by a very accomplished organist and trumpeter. The well-organised luncheon that followed was capably prepared by a band of faithful church ladies. In a relaxed atmosphere the guests enjoyed a sense togetherness and comaraderie.
