Laddsworth Primary gymnast earns Gold at Rhythmic Gymnastics Competition

Kendra Tongue, a Grade 5 pupil at Laddsworth Primary School, participated in a fun Rhythmic Gymnastics competition held in Durban on Saturday 3 March 2018. Kendra was placed first in the Under 11 Level 3 section and received a gold medal.
Well done Kendra!

Inter-Schools ‘A’ Gala hosted by Laddsworth Primary School
Laddsworth Primary School hosted the Inter-Schools ‘A’ Gala on Tuesday 6 March 2018 at Pine Street Pool in Pietermaritzburg. The event was a huge success, and our Laddsworth Boys team enjoyed their best ever result with a third place at the ‘A’ Gala.
Congratulations to Merchiston Preparatory School who have won the Boys ‘A’ Gala for 55 years consecutively, and to The Wykeham Collegiate for winning the Girls ‘A’ Gala for 21 years in a row.

Laddsworth Girls wins the Inter-schools ‘B’ Gala

Laddsworth Primary School’s Girls Swimming Squad won the Inter-Schools ‘B’ Gala, held at Pine Street Pool in Pietermaritzburg on Wednesday 7 March 2018. Our Team broke two records: Under 10 Girls 4 x 25m Mixed Medley in a time of 1:28,69 and the Under 12 Girls 4 x 25m Breaststroke in a time of 1:24,77 The Laddsworth Girls team now regain their spot in the Inter-School’s ‘A’ Gala in 2019.
Well done to our swimmers and coaches for their hard work and determination this season.

Laddsworth Primary – 5 Wins at Last Mini Cricket Festival
Laddsworth Primary School Grade 1 and 2 pupils enjoyed their last mini cricket festival of the term at Howick Preparatory School on Tuesday, 13 March 2018. Our mini cricketers ended their season on a high with 5 wins and 1 draw.

Laddsworth Primary Bookworms enjoy Kids Lit Quiz

Laddsworth Primary School entered 2 teams in the Kids Lit Quiz recently, at Athlone Primary School in Pietermaritzburg. Well done to our Grade 7 team who came 6th and our Grade 6 team who came 7th out of 27 teams. Well done to our teams who showed an amazing knowledge of books, authors and illustrators.

Laddsworth Primary School closed for the Easter holidays on Wednesday 28 March 2018. Pupils were very excited to show off their Easter Art and look forward to relaxing Easter holidays.

Jodi Moreno and Lucy Baker, Grade 5, were the Runners-up in the Girls Under 12 Doubles. Well done to our tennis girls!
