It Takes a Village…

It takes a whole Village to raise a Child (African Proverb)

Nowhere is this proverb more true than in the Midlands schools we feature every month. With Youth Day an important celebration in the month of June our Youth have the front page spot. Two full pages are devoted to Schools News (pg 8 and 9), and perhaps take some time to notice how Youthful The Meander Chronicle is this month. Our future is in our Youth, and perhaps if we shift our focus to the good stuff our youngsters are bringing to our world we too can feel some excitement about what tomorrow brings.
Laddsworth Primary School in Hilton recently held a Fun Night Run/Walk. It’s occasions like these that bring out the best in communities. Laddsworth would like to thank all the participants, sponsors, and the Hilton community who helped to make the annual Fun Night Run/Walk on the 15th June 2016 such a big success. There were 810 entrants who enjoyed a run/walk through the village of Hilton and the St Anne’s College Wetland. We had beautiful weather and there was lots of fun and laughter along the way. To those who missed out, make sure you enter next year!
