Howick High School awarded Silver in WESSA Eco-Schools Program

Howick High School has been awarded their Silver Award for two years of sustained environmental effort in the WESSA Eco-Schools program. Eco-Schools is an international program for the Foundation on Environmental Education. The program has been in operation for more than 20 years, with 63 countries participating. The WESSA Eco-Schools program has been running in South Africa for 14 years with over 1000 schools participating. Schools work toward achieving their Green Flag status on a yearly basis by following a 7 step process. For 2017, Howick High School will be eligible for their Green Flag. Howick High School is also part of the WESSA Water Explorer program and are currently rated 5th in the country!
