Howick High excel at Eskom Expo for Young Scientists!

On Friday, 19th August, a number of Grade 8 and 9 Howick High School pupils presented their science projects at the Central KZN ‘Eskom Expo for Young Scientists at the Durban University of Technology. A total of 488 projects from schools throughout KZN were exhibited. We are proud of our Howick High School scientists who brought home the following awards: Gold medal and two special awards (best renewable energy project and best project in category): Hannah Finch; Gold medal: Abigail Petersen; Silver medals: Cornelius Mentz, Sarah Rushworth, Caitlin Rode, Benjamin Olivier; Bronze medal: Leanne Harmer

Howick Prep visit Durban’s Mini Town

The Grade 5 pupils of Howick Preparatory School spent time down in Durban last week as part of their Natural Science and Life Science curriculum. Whilst down in Durban they spent a day at uShaka Marine World learning about the ocean and ecology and also spent time at Mini Town studying the history of Durban.
