Grace College walks the talk

Masihambisane is Zulu for “Let us walk together” and also the name Grace College has adopted for their ongoing outreach programme. Masihambisane’s goal is to make a difference to education in areas including; Sweetwaters, Edendale and Lions River. This group of educators from various rural schools were amongst 15 delegates who attended a workshop hosted at Grace College by our Masihambisane champions, Sam Nkosi and Judith Brown.

Busisiwa Mkhize in Grade 10 at Grace College won Miss Teen Greater Edendale Mall. Grace College is proud of this young lady’s fine achievement.
We are delighted that such a young, intelligent and aspiring lady took part in our pageant and was crowned Miss Teen Greater Edendale Mall. She is an ambassador to our community and others. Busisiwa will be taking part in various community projects that the Mall is involved in, throughout 2017 up until she hands over her crown in June 2018.’ said Sonja Caldecott, Marketing Manager of The Greater Edendale Mall.

Grace College Gr8 animal welfare warriors were treated to slices of pizza and milkshakes by the SPCA for their especially generous collection. Vuyo Zuma, who is holding the tray of pizza, gave his entire money box to the SPCA.

 

 

Show jumping success for Grace College student

 

 

At the Barry Yarnell Spring Extravaganza held at Durban Shongweni Club 9 to 10 September, Chelsea Kilian, in Grade 8 at Grace College, and Laddys Luck were placed 1st, 5th, and 6th in the 90cm Junior Classes. Chelsea and Davenport Rasputin were placed 1st and 6th in the 1m Junior Classes and won the 1m Junior Championship.
