Grace College and Masihambisane Outreach

Grace College Masihambisane Basketball Outreach

Grace College once again invited basketball players from surrounding rural schools for a basketball clinic as part of their Masihambisane Outreach.

Masihambisane is Zulu for “Let us walk together“. The basketball clinic was well attended; Grace College hosted 17 boys who received fundamental skills training.

Coach Adrian Murray expressed appreciation for the loyal support of Greg Downs and Quarry SuperSpar in Hilton who supplied food and refreshments for the event.

Indigenous trees to underline Grace views
It is always a good time to plant trees for the future. Grace College is grateful to André Voigts for his generous contribution of 38 assorted indigenous trees which will, in years to come, provide a shady boundary for The Coslett Oval and underline our gorgeous Grace views.

When the rain set in for our annual Afrikaans Fees Dag at Grace College last week, innovative thinking around alternate solutions for some of the activities was required. Swiftly laid plans meant that all the fun went ahead including; karaoke, stokbrood braai, sokkie dancing, ball games, sack races and tug-o-war. Our teachers joined in the spirit of the day, wearing Afrikaans inspired outfits.
