Fracking Meetings in the Midlands

Fracking Meetings in the Midlands

Fracking google it squareRhino Oil & Gas have applied for an Exploration Permit in the Midlands (and beyond, and area of 1 500 000ha) to locate gas worth fracking. As part of the application process, they will hold public meetings to present the process, show where they plan to mine and describe the impacts.
As the KZN Midlands is one enormous water catchment, there is no rational basis to allow exploration in this area. Even initial exploration could be detrimental to our water resources as they will need to dig wells to ‘explore’ which could contaminate water with toxic chemicals.
If you use water you must make your voice heard!
