To add to Epworth’s olympiad success this year – one of our girls was first in the English Olympiad – Grade 11 Tayla Howard came second overall in the South African National Geography Olympiad. Sixty schools from across the country, comprising at total of 946 pupils, participated in the online olympiad. Sixteen Epworth pupils took part and one pupil received gold – in top 5%, three received silver medals – in the top 10% and one girl received bronze – in the top 15%.
Tayla was the only KZN pupil in the top 1%. The winner was from Reddam House in Gauteng.
