Grade 6 maths evening at Cordwalles Preparatory School. A fun evening of boys interacting in a different way with their parents / aunts / uncles / older siblings. The goal was the enjoyment of the occasion rather than the competition of the questions. Boys with their family member had to answer questions graded according to difficulty and with points awarded accordingly.

Grandparents came from far and wide to attend Grandparent’s Day at Cordwalles Preparatory School recently. The Pre-primary boys planted thyme, iced biscuits, beaded and showed their grandparents around their playground.
The junior primary started their grandparents’ day by putting on a concert for their grandparents called Carnival Time, after the concert the grandparents enjoyed a tea party in the brick quad before heading to their grandson’s classroom to see what they get up to. What a lovely day spent with special people.

Many grandparents and special friends came from far and wide. The morning started off with a delicious tea followed by the grade 7 play titled Robin Hood and afterwards a visit to their grandson’s classroom.

As part of the local history syllabus which includes the Victorian period, Cordwalles Preparatory School grade 4 boys invited The Wykeham Collegiate grade 4 girls to join them for a wonderful morning of croquet and bowls at the Pietermaritzburg Croquet and Bowling Clubs. After much social enjoyment, the morning ended with the boys presenting The Wykeham Collegiate ladies with lovely roses and the girls reciprocating with delicious fudge.
