Merchiston Preparatory School shows that Science is fun
Experi-Buddies is an educational, extra-mural programme that uses experiments to show young children that the world of Science can be fun. This is done by means of interactive projects, exciting demonstrations and basic experiments. Children should do experiments for the same reason that they listen to stories and do sport – experiments encourage children to be inquisitive, creative and build their self-confidence.

Science is Fun

Science is Fun

This programme is presented at Merchiston Preparatory School’s Pre-primary and Junior Primary where the teachers are creating the building blocks for future learning and an understanding of science. Young children are curious by nature and fascinated by the world around them. This youthful inquisitiveness makes it the perfect time to answer their questions and give them insight into how the world around them works.

The Merchiston Preparatory Schools boys lit up the school recently in support of The Sunflower Fund.  The boys were allowed to wear the topes in support of all the people that are in need either financially (purchasing of the topes) or just with a big smile that each boy so happily did!
