“Beani” flying high

Wartburg pupil is SA Downhill champ

Wartburg Kirchdorf School’s South African champion, Beani (aka Sabine Thies), was away at the Afriski Mountain Resort this past weekend, where she competed in the second round of the MTB SA cup series and the SA Championships.

Sabine was again crowned SA Downhill champion.

“We are very proud of her persistence and this achievement. Beani has always represented the school with pride and we celebrate this title with her,” said the school.

“Super happy to win the 2nd round of the SA cup series as well as SA champs,” said Sabine.

Elsewhere in the Midlands – has anyone seen Wally? In celebration of World Book Day, Cowan House Pre-Primary pupils (and teachers) dressed-up in Where’s Wally character.
