Merchiston wins Gala for the 53rd consecutive year!

The Merchiston Preparatory boys proved yet again that they have what it takes to win the boy’s Inter-Schools A gala trophy for the 53rd consecutive year in a row, finishing the season on a high! The boys had so much fun whilst still determined to regain their title.

Merchiston Boys enjoy Growing Parks in PMB
The Grade 2 Merchiston Preparatory School boys recently went on an outing to Growing parks. The boys enjoyed spending time outdoors, learning about the environment and the beautiful creatures that surround them.

Excursion fun for Merchiston boys
The Grade 6 boys from Merchiston Preparatory School recently went on their annual excursions.  The boys visited Greystones for 3 days and enjoyed a variety of team building activities.

The Merchiston Preparatory IMPS boys, Tristan Le Grange (left) and Gregory Klopper (right) always look forward to their Psychomotor class. Psychomotor develop their gross motor skills (movement) and fine motor skills (manual activities). Psychomotor therapy has proven results to enhance the boys self-confidence and development through their growing years.

Team building and leadership at Merchiston Prep.

Recently the Merchiston Preparatory School Grade 7 boys went on an excursion to Elandsheim Retreat. The boys are taught a variety of leadership and team building activities. They thoroughly enjoyed climbing mountains, sleeping under the stars and getting to know one another.

The Grade 3 Merchiston Preparatory Boys recently went on an outing to Butterflies for Africa. The boys had so much fun learning about these beautiful creatures and looking at the array of striking colours!

Merchiston Preparatory School for boys celebrated Rare Disease day recently. The main objective of Rare Disease Day is to bring awareness amongst the general public about rare diseases and their impact on patients’ lives. We currently have 4 boys who suffer from a rare disease called Primary Immunodeficiency Disease. To show our support, the boys and staff wore Denim and/ or bought a blue ribbon to contribute to this worthy cause.
