Christmas contribution for Siyabonga from Laddsworth Primary School
This year Laddsworth Primary School once again collected toys and stationary for the children who attend Siyabonga. Pat Kanzler from Siyabonga thanked the school in Assembly and left with a car boot loaded full of items which will be Christmas gifts for needy children in Edendale and Imbali.

Laddsworth Orientation Day for 2016 intake
The 2016 intake for Grade 1 at Laddsworth Primary School were welcomed to an Orientation Day recently. Time spent in the classrooms and touring the school was enjoyed by all the little ones. Parents gathered for tea and an introductory presentation which highlighted some of the ‘need-to-know’ information that will prepare them for this new leg of their parenting journey.

Laddsworth’s Top ticket sellers earn Ice-creams and Burgers

After a very successful Fury Motor Group fundraiser a Grade 3 class from Laddsworth Primary School headed to Steers on Hilton Avenue to indulge in a hard won treat.
This top selling class included Camryn Heafield who sold the most books of tickets. Camryn was delighted to receive the special honour of being permitted to make her own ice-cream cone which she was thrilled to top off with a chocolate flake.

Laddsworth embarks on a Water Explorer mission

In assembly recently, Brigid Ringdahl and Sarah Alcock from WESSA visited to educate pupils and staff at Laddsworth Primary about the exciting Water Explorer program that has taken SA schools on a journey to: Complete water-based challenges on key water issues; Collaborate with other students across the world; Hold community water festivals and win points and prizes; Develop a range of transferable knowledge and skills.

Laddsworth currently has 40 points and the challenge is on to improve the schools rankings against other schools in the country as they increase their water awareness and save water.

Laddsworth Trust Golf Day 2015

On Sunday 8 November, Laddsworth Trust hosted a fundraising Golf Day at Sakabula. Rene Cathro who is a Grade 1 parent organised the event, which was a success in every way.  Twenty-one four ball teams took part at Sakabula Golf Course where families gathered to enjoy the day.

At the end of a hot day out the winning team, of James Bryant, Andrew Whitley, Tim Cook and Brett Porritt, finished with 111 points. R25, 000.00 was raised for Laddsworth Trust.

A huge thank you goes out to all the prize sponsors, golfers and supporters, especially our key sponsors; Hilton Quarry SuperSpar, Jonsson Workwear Depot, KFC, Hilton College, St Anne’s, Vodacom, Pro-Train, Inky Shop and Chris and Gene at Sakabula Golf Course who were most attentive hosts.
